Hi, I’m Abby Phillips.

I spent 15+ years building things that didn't exist yet — and figuring out, often in real time, what it takes to make them last.

I started at the age of 25 with a talent agency I launched, operated, and eventually negotiated into an acquisition. What I learned in that first business — how to sell a vision before you have proof, how to build something from scratch with no template and no roadmap — became the foundation for everything that followed.

  • Elzemeyer Talent Agency

Built and scaled from the ground up. Learned client acquisition, operations, and financial management before I had anyone to ask for advice. Negotiated the agency's acquisition myself — then stayed on to consult through the transition.

  • Memphis didn't have a fashion week. That was the pitch — "here's why the city needs this, and here's why I'm the one to build it." I spent years selling that vision to local business owners and sponsors, securing $50K in sponsorships and producing professional-scale runway events with a team of 60+ and over 1,000 attendees. I then directed and grew the event for a decade.

  • I wrote the bylaws. Filed the paperwork. Built the board one relationship at a time. I ran the organization through every kind of pressure a nonprofit leader faces: funders with competing priorities, a board with its own vision, a staff that needed real leadership, and a program that kept growing faster than the infrastructure beneath it. I held the vision together through all of it and scaled Arrow Creative into a 23,000 sq ft operation with a $700K+ annual budget — overseeing finance, operations, marketing, programming, and a capital construction project simultaneously.

  • I joined the team in the midst of a rebrand. I took the social media and created a concrete plan of who our audience was and what was our voice. By doing so, I grew the social media presence 25% in just 1 year. I promoted the center to local and regional customers in a new light and showed them the “why” of the new spaces. In just 18 months, the center’s foot traffic was up 10% year over year.

  • Out of the SILO exists because the silo is real, and it costs people more than they realize. It costs them momentum. It costs them clarity. Sometimes it costs them the whole thing — the business they almost built, the idea they almost pursued, the version of their work that could have been extraordinary if someone had just helped them see it.

I built this because I kept coming back to it. Because every chapter of my career was pointing toward it. And because now, having lived it from every angle — as a founder, an operator, a director, a coach, a community builder — I am finally in a position to offer what I always wished more people had access to.
